We’ve just come back from a great week’s holiday in the Brecon Beacons. We had a great time; weather was good, tasty food, interesting scenery and decent broadband (phew).

My Daughter’s Guide to Gaming With Me
I had a great time on holiday with my family to the Brecon Beacons. A key part of any extended family-time is the opportunity for me to be ruthlessly mocked by my children.
This holiday was no exception. Continue reading “My Daughter’s Guide to Gaming With Me”
100 Posts!
Glad my eldest persuaded me to blog about our holidays. It’s been lots of fun.
100 more hopefully!
Nostalgia Time : Greatest Gaming Moments, Part 1
Computer gaming has been part of my life since before I was 10 (more than 30 years!) and I’ve accumulated a fine set of furnishings for my memory palace. Here’s some of my favourites; Continue reading “Nostalgia Time : Greatest Gaming Moments, Part 1”
Tales from IT: Man Vs Pager
In the IT department where I first worked, there was a Network Admin who was a bit ‘highly strung’. Iceland : Day 6
Time to do the tourist thing and wander the shops in Reykjavik. Though we took some time to watch “puffins” too. Continue reading “Iceland : Day 6”
Iceland : Day 5
Golden Circle today! A ring of interesting sights from Reykjavik into central Iceland and back. Lots to see and a long day’s driving. But awesomeness ahead! Continue reading “Iceland : Day 5”
Iceland : Day 4
Woke up today with aches and pains where I wasn’t even aware I had body-parts. Apparently all the contortions I pulled to keep the right horse-riding posture were pretty new to a body finely-tuned and optimised for long-term computer use. Luckily, we were booked to visit The Blue Lagoon; a large geothermally heated spa.
Time to regenerate damaged muscles in mineral-rich, heated water.
