Up and into Yosemite at 6.45 AM!
It took about an hour through roads winding up mountains and down through valleys but the view on the way was worth it; the early morning mist was surrounding the trees and it looked spectacular.
We had to park the car 15 minutes walk away from the village centre and we grabbed a quick breakfast at the deli when we got there.
We walked through a meadow (seeing the Half-Dome) before heading up to the lower falls; like many of the rivers and falls they were dry due to the drought.
Later we got back in the car and drove back out, pausing to see the other sights like El Capitan and the Bridalveil Fall.
A long day but we rounded it off with a brilliant pizza 🙂
