We slept through till 12:30 PM 😦
Panic stations all round and a rapid change of plans. I managed to get us a reservation for a night tour at the observatory and we spent the late afternoon walking around the opera house and botanical gardens.
It was a lovely walk and The Overmind got the chance to the chance to take some sweet photographs (all photos here are mine on my ‘tiny and wee’ camera).
The observatory tour gave us the the chance to try out two of their huge telescopes and see Venus, The Moon, Saturn and several star clusters. The guide was informative and the whole tour was brilliant.
A late dinner at a horoscope themed pizza-bar (yes really) and I thought we we’re set to sleep through even with the late start.
